NL. Transparant gat (witte gat). Site-specific installatie. Glas, koperdraad, jute en latex. Dit werk bevond zich in de kozijnopening van de tussenruimte van het molenhuis en de molen. Via een handmatig, intensief zandstraalproces is er een groot gat in de 18 mm dikke glasplaat aangebracht. De plaat is met dik koperdraad in het kozijn bevestigd. Op de vensterbank ligt een opgerolde lap jute met een latex buikafdruk. In de expositie hangt dit werk exact tegenover de waterkolk (het zwarte gat) uit de video-installatie Pneuma.
EN. Transparent hole. Site-specific installation. Glass, copper wire, jute, and latex. This work was located within the window frame opening in the interstitial space between the millhouse and the mill. Through a manual, intensive sandblasting process, a large hole was created in the 18 mm thick glass plate. The plate is secured inside the frame using thick copper wire. A rolled piece of burlap with a latex belly cast rests on the windowsill. In the exhibition, this work is positioned directly opposite the whirlpool (the black hole) from the video installation Pneuma. (Photo: Joost Verpoort.)
